Marianne was born in Springfield, Illinois, but at the age of three, moved with her parents and older brother to Novato, California. She attended college at University of California, Davis, earning a degree in graphic design. After her graduation in 2001, she was hired on as part of the Mathematics Department staff, handling their graphic design, databases and computer system administration. In 2005, she bought a house in Davis, and is living there with her boyfriend, Gabe, and two ridiculously frisky cats. In her spare time, she designs geeky t-shirts and jewelry, plays Dungeons and Dragons, and recently spends far too much time organizing her family history.Parents
